他的研究主要着眼于可持续区域发展与经济改革所带来的社会影响,特别是发展中国家小城镇、本土社区及农村地区的自然资源与农业发展。

赫伯德先生在专业机构中所担任的职位有:美国规划院校联合会主席,美国规划院校联合会全球规划教育组主席,俄勒冈自然资源高等教育体系研究所成员,雷恩郡食品政策委员会委员,俄勒冈可持续经济发展环境委员会委员

赫伯德先生于1980年获加州大学洛杉矶分校城市与区域规划博士学位;于1971年获圣地亚哥州立大学社区发展与社会规划硕士学位;于1968年获加州技术大学社会科学学士学位。

 

 

Michael Hibbard, Professor, Director, Master of Community and Regional Planning. Director, Institute for Policy Research and Innovation (IPRI).

His research focuses on Sustainable regional development and the social impacts of economic change, especially natural resource and agricultural development, on small towns, indigenous communities, and rural regions in developed countries.

Mr. Hibbard’s current professional involvements include: Vice President and President-elect of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP). Co-chair of Global Planning Educators Interest Group, ACSP. He is also board member of:
* Oregon Higher Education System Institute for Natural Resources
* Lane County Food Policy Council
* Oregon Environmental Council for Sustainable Economic Development
